Sport

St. Andrew’s fosters a spirit of individual and team competition. Every pupil has the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sporting activities. The School is proud of its sprting ethos and regularly produces highly successful school teams at all levels.

Physical Education is taught by experienced staff throughout the school. In addition the senior school participates in an extensive all year round sports programme.

In the Christmas Term the main sports are football and netball, whilst in the Easter term we focus on hockey. The Summer term sports are rounders, cricket, athletics and swimming. In addition, the School also competes in tennis, cross-country and orienteering. We also have a competitive inter-House sports programme every term.

Although individuals are encouraged to be competitive, it is also stressed that good conduct and sportsmanship are equally valued.
